“A night of deep drum & bass, its influences and relatives” Polaroid marches onwards to its second instalment on July 10th @ Miss Libertine. Resident DJs Joe Seven, Consequence and Dust will be drawing on the music that fits the mould. Focusing on Drum and Bass the music policy is simple; If it has some depth and soul it will be played. From Electronica and low slung Dubstep to Hip Hop, Detroit Techno and Minimal Soul, anything goes. For July we have two special guests; rising star in Dubstep circles, Spherix and Metalheadz resident MC, LowQui.
MC LowQui [UK, Metalheadz]
A key member of the Metalheadz family and Goldie’s MC of choice, LowQui was hand picked by dBridge to host his debut album “Gemini Principal” tour. Work with the Exit Records camp led to a rare, live set recording with Instra:mental reaching legendary status. LowQui’s diverse mic skills, founded on a passionate love for deep, dark and minimal drum & bass got noticed by Skream, who hooked him into flowing over dubstep - as heard with devastating effect by all at Skream & Benga’s Melbourne show. Polaroid is primed to develop as the perfectly exposed landscape for LowQui’s wide angle vocals.
